Planned Giving
Matching Gifts
Many companies encourage employee philantrophy by matching charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company has matching gift program, the impact of your gift could be doubled or even tripled. And it is easy to do. Request a matching gift from your company and send it completed and signed along with your gift. That is all you have to do to maximize your gift to Ice Theatre.
Leave a Legacy
Planned giving, either through bequests, charitable gift annuities or gifts of appreciated securities, is one of the ways individuals can leave a legacy which helps strenghten ITNY's mission in the future. If you sign on to leave a legacy you will be invited to join the Gertrude Vanderbilt Legacy Society. Members of the Society will receive exclusive benefits. Stocks
By contributing appreciated stock, you can save in income taxes through a charitable contribution deduction and may avoid capital gains tax.
Bequests
The charitable bequest written into the Last Will and Testament is a simple yet effective way of providing for ITNY without giving up the asset until death. You can choose to:
- Make a specific bequest of a sum of money or designated asset;
- Designate ITNY to receive a percentage of your estate once administrative expenses, taxes, and specific bequests are paid; or
- Establish a contingent bequest whereby your assets would go to other beneficiaries so long as they survive you, but if not, to ITNY.
